I have often heard about how impacted the rest of the world is by the Jamaican culture and music. I have even travelled myself and got a taste of the warm admiration most non-jamaicans have for Jamaica. However, it was in doing this wedding that the feeling of appreciation was most poignant.

It was indeed a pleasure to share the day with Ben, his new wife Sharna and the family. Ben, a native of England, is no mean lover of the Jamaican culture. That was evident in his love for our reggae icon Bob Marley and how he identified with the food, colors and Red Stripe Beer. By his own account, his Friday evenings staples are jerk chicken, Red Stripe and reggae music.

The happy couple and their family were handsomely catered to by the expert and efficient staff of the Iberostar Grande in Montego Bay. It was no ordinary day and evening and they said their “I Do’s”, rocked to the music of the reggae legend and basked in island hospitality!
